Who we are

MIPS consists of academics, veterans of the peace process and security sectors, former exiles, prodemocracy activists, and international experts. MIPS is a non-governmental, non-partisan, independent research-based policy “think-and-do-tank” aiming to support the peace process and security transition, working closely with principal stakeholders.

Vision

In our vision, MIPS is an independent, non-partisan, national-led, policy research organization that enjoys the confidence of the country’s peace and security stakeholders in the process of facilitating policy-making and implementation related to the peace and security transition in Myanmar.

Goals

To achieve a peaceful transition to democratic and federal union

Objectives

The overall objective of MIPS will be to support the peace process and the security sector transformation in a manner that conforms to democratic norms, consolidates the peace process, and fosters national reconciliation among the country’s numerous ethnic and political groups.
